My mosaics are all about color and texture. I like to compare them to scrap quilt pieces--the colors and patterns might not be traditional, but throw them together and they look beautiful. I love quilts but my piecing skills leave a lot to be desired. So I decided to combine my two "loves" and started mosaiking quilt squares using smalti, stained glass, vitreous tiles, and anything that would make it more interesting.
